作者简介
Karen Ackerman has written over 25 books for young readers, including The Night Crossing, A Brighter Garden illustrated by Tasha Tudor, and Bingleman’s Midway illustrated by Barry Moser.In addition to winning the Caldecott Award for his spirited illustrations in Song and Dance Man, Stephen Gammell is the illustrator of two Caldecott Honor Books, The Relatives Came by Cynthia Rylant and Where the Buffaloes Begin by Olaf Baker.
Karen Ackerman（卡伦·阿克曼），1951年出生在美国俄亥俄州的辛辛那提，1969年从伍德沃德高等学校毕业。1982年出版了第1本童书，目前为止，已经出版超过25本儿童文学作品，包括少年小说、图画书等。卡伦·阿克曼的作品获得过很多奖项，包括英国畅销书排行榜精选作品（ABA Pick of the List）、美国图书馆协会推荐童书（ALA Notable Books）、美国《号角书》杂志童书（Horn Book’s Best）和美国《学校图书馆杂志》童书（School Library Journal Best Books）等。
Stephen Gammell（斯蒂芬·甘默尔），美国童书插画家。甘默尔出生在美国爱荷华州，父亲是杂志社艺术编辑，经常把期刊带回家，由此带给甘默尔艺术灵感。父母给他大量的纸、笔，给予鼓励，使得甘默尔能够自学成才。从自由职业开始进行商业创作。1973年起出版第一部图画书，此后共创作了60多部作品。前后三次获得凯迪克奖。他的妻子琳达·甘默尔是个摄影家，他们生活在明尼苏达州的圣保罗。
